The Print Center is equipped with a 32 x 60 inch Charles Brand electric etching press, an Amergraph screen and plate exposure table, an Epson Pro 9880 digital printer, 2 PCs and 2 iMac computers. The Center is equipped for monotype and intaglio printing using oil-based and water-soluble inks. The use of an acrylic ground etching method, ferric chloride and non-toxic materials ensures a safe and health-minded working environment.

The ICA Print Center also hosts an Artist-in-Residence Program. Each year four established artists are invited to participate in self-designed residencies. These artists work directly with our master printer to create a suite of monotypes, an edition of etchings, an artist book, or another print-based project of their choosing.

Prints from the editions created by the Artists-in-Residence will be available for purchase beginning January 5, 2009. Contact Fanny Retsek at the ICA at 408.283.8155 for more information.
